5 Day Miracle Diet
The 5 Day Miracle Diet is a book written by nutritionist Adele Puhn. The point of this diet is to eat timed meals followed by exercise to achieve weight loss. The great thing about this plan is that it regulates your metabolism with timed eating. The regimen also calls for consistent exercise which is a must when you are trying to burn stored fat and lose weight.
On this diet, you must eat within 30 minutes of getting out of bed. Breakfast should be a starchy food such as egg whites or wheat toast. Next is a snack and this should be something that is a hard-chew like an apple or celery. Hard-chew foods let sugar be released slowly into the bloodstream, regulating your blood sugar level and allowing you to feel full. Before 1:00 pm, you need to eat a lunch of protein and vegetables, but no carbohydrates. Dinner is eaten before 8:00 pm and again just vegetables and protein.
Once you have eaten at each part of the day, it must be followed by 30 minutes of walking or stretching. This is key to burning calories and losing weight. This diet is shaped on a 5 day timetable and should not be used longer than those 5 days.
